Courses in Humanities and Social Sciences
We have a huge range of courses in the study of human culture and society, from traditional subjects like history or philosophy to innovative new courses like Citizenship or Modern and Contemporary Wales.
History at Glamorgan is one of the most research-active fields (with excellent RAE results in 2008) within the university. It boasts a young, dynamic and innovative team of staff, including the strongest contingent of modern Welsh historians anywhere in the UK. Visit our history research website.
Study is flexible and many subjects can be combined in a Major/Minor or Joint Honours degree. The BSc Social Sciences and BA Humanities courses allows you to choose a variety of subjects from across the arts, humanities and social sciences and is a good grounding for a diverse range of related careers.
A pre-undergraduate one-year Foundation Studies programme is available to prepare students for study in any academic subject area of the School of Humanities, Law and Social Sciences.
